Backyard Vegetables

Producing home grown vegetables in containers or in large gardens is a past time enjoyed by millions every year. Backyard vegetable production allows gardeners to provide healthy and nutritious food to their families. Beside a good food source, it allows gardeners the decision if chemicals will be applied to the plants.

Diseases can dramatically affect vegetable production. Several diseases encountered with vegetable production can be managed through good cultural practices (not over-watering, removing infected plants, not composting disease plants, etc) or management of insects that are responsible for transmitting the disease.
