Sample Submission


 

  • Collect samples from branches that are showing symptoms but are not dead
  • When submitting canker samples:
    • include portion of the branch at the broader between discolored and healthy bark
  • When submitting Dutch Elm disease, Oak Wilt, or Verticillium testing:
    • branch specimens should consist of four to six pieces
    • Pieces measuring between 6-8 inches long and ½-1 inch in diameter
  • When submitting Pine Wilt:
    • Wedge-shaped sample of wood from the lower trunk or the base of large lower limbs that is a minimum of 1 inch thick.
    • Branch from affected area that is a minimum of ½ inch in diameter and 6-8 inches long.
  • Fill out a “Submission Form” and include it with the sample.

Keep sample cool until shipment to:
